Most Commonly Used:

CNC (Computer Numerical Control) Machining – Subtractive process using CAD data to program an automated machine to cut parts from solid blocks of material. CNC Machining produces accurate models with a variety of material choices.

Rapid Injection Molding – Process using easily machinable materials to create simple tools for injection moulding. Rapid Injection Moulding allows for very quick production times and small production volumes.

Z Corp Printing – Ink-jet Printer based process where each “page” is a slice of the 3D CAD model printed onto a thin layer of plaster powder. It is best suited to producing inexpensive prototypes quickly. Models printed with plaster and impregnated with wax are environmentally inert.
